Do you want to see the Church grow? Among administrators and leaders that is one of the highest agenda items in doing their work. You want to see results for your planning, labors and use of resources...both human and financial.

Yes, I sincerely want to see the Church grow!

But, in my most personal of thoughts, here is where I want us all to grow in this short and simple list:

1. Grow in love towards God and growth in desire to obey Him.

2. Grow in love towards one another and extend friendship to as many as we can. Christ called His disciples "friends."

3. Grow in service towards one another. Live and teach service.

4. Grow in speaking truthfully.

5. Grow in meaningful relationships with our fellow human beings, particularly in the family, the Church and then the community.

6. Grow in reconciliation as much as possible where there had been breaks in relationships.

Growth is not about how many become part of the Church. Church growth is about the inner growth of each person who is transformed by God. The above points portray our growth into a new man or woman who truly is a lot bigger than we were before.

As we grow from immaturity and acting as children to spiritual adulthood, take the time to inventory yourself. First ask if you're happy with yourself. Then ask what you want to aspire to be. Ask "How do I grow?"

Tools for Spiritual GrowthI'd like to offer you our newest study guide Tools for Spiritual Growth. It gives the fundamentals of our spiritual lifeblood in prayer, our food in the Word of God, the catalyst of fasting—all leading to personal transformation. It includes the support of the Church and culminates in finally becoming what God intended you to grow up to.

Please order our booklet at www.ucg.org/booklet/tools-spiritual-growth/. You will find practical tools and techniques that will make the growth happen. It's a growth that can only be appreciated to one who's attained it and is so thankful that they are what they really were intended to be—a transformed person. Please try it.

P.S: Please write to me at victor_kubik@ucg.org and tell me about how you are doing and what you would like for us to help you grow in. I want to help.

Hi GabrielS4, You can read the Spiritual Tools booklet here: http://www.ucg.org/booklet/tools-spiritual-growth/ I have really enjoyed reading it and evaluating what I can do to grow personally. It has been very helpful!

I love how you really brought home the idea of inner-growth of the members of the congregation themselves instead of just growing the church by the numbers. If the members are not finding spiritual growth in a church, then leaders need to take a closer look.

I love seeing church grow to the perfect will of God. We 're just a representative of church, God is the owner of the church. Your post is so intresting, i will like to one of your booklet (Spiritual growth) but don't know where to get it in Nigeria.
