RE: Family Day at Daytona Lagoon
A week or more ago, I sent out a memo letting you know of a possible Family Day activity at Daytona Lagoon, which is a combined water park and indoor Family Entertainment Center adjacent to the Ocean Center.
We needed to determine the interest in this activity, since the Lagoon would stay open past its planned closing date of September 27 for a private party for UCG Feastgoers.
I am happy to say that the response to this was very good, so we have contracted with the Daytona Lagoon for the Family Day Activity, which is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, from 2-6 pm.
The main water park, including the wave pool, three of the large slides, and the entire Family Entertainment Center, including go-karts, mini golf, laser tag, arcade games (no tickets or prizes to be given), ropes course, etc are open and fully available to all who attend this day. There is a splash and play area for the youngsters in the wave pool area, but the main splash are exclusively for young children will not be open that day.
For more info, see my previous post or go to Daytonalagoon.com.
Because the park has to staff adequately for our group, we have made a sizable deposit to buy the park out, and we need to commit to this event, without possibility of refund, by September 27.
As a result, we are asking you to purchase tickets ahead of time, through PayPal, which page has already been posted to the Daytona Feast site webpage. (It inadvertently got posted Friday, before it could be combined with this letter today, so you have a post regarding this in your email dating back to Friday).
The all-inclusive price for this activity is $36 per person, for persons 32 inches and taller. (For their insurance purposes, some activities are not available for those, regardless of age, who are less than 32 inches tall. Accordingly, while those may use the wave pool and several activities in the FEC, there is no charge for them when accompanied by paying adult).
We would ask that you would purchase your tickets THIS WEEK if possible. Go to “posts” under the Daytona Feast site at feast.uccg.org, and you will find the Pay Pal button to purchase tickets.
Several have said they would like to donate to this event, even though they might not attend, to help others attend who may not be able to afford it. On the Pay Pal page, there is a button to make such a donation.
Thank you in advance for your support and for buying tickets ahead of time so we know this activity can be fully funded.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me.
FYI, the rest of the Daytona Activity Schedule is complete and will be posted later this week.
Have a good day, everyone.
