They will not ask questions or listen to others. We say that they have a "closed mind." It seems that they have made up their minds and then slammed the door to further information.

"I don't want to talk about it" or "don't start in on that again" or other such comments hang on the door of a closed mind. We would all benefit if we examine ourselves from time to time to see if we have shut the door to all learning. When our lives are negatively affected, we need to take a serious look at the doors of our mind. We do need to guard against harmful things going into our minds. But that doesn't mean we should keep good things out as well. Are we open and receptive to growing in knowledge and understanding?
