“Happiness comes from giving, not getting. If we try hard to bring happiness to others, we cannot stop it from coming to us also. To get joy, we must give it, and to keep joy, we must scatter it”—John Templeton.

The Bible says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). When we sacrifice to give, we become more like God who is the Supreme Giver. We first experience the joy that comes from giving, then the rewards that it brings later in our life when it comes back to us.

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8, New International Version).
