Overwhelmed?
Do you ever feel overwhelmed with the day-to-day tasks that must be completed? Doing your job, caring for your family and attending to your own personal affairs can leave you simply exhausted. But you’re in good company—even the great men of the Bible became overwhelmed and discouraged with the tasks that had been given to them. There are some things that are too much for any individual to handle.
That’s where God comes in. Isaiah, who faced the emotionally and physically taxing job of delivering God’s prophecies to Judah, identified with the words God gave him: “The Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed" (Isaiah 50:7, King James Version).
While we do have the responsibility to organize our time and activities, having faith in God and His hand gives a peace of mind that allows us to do what we can and know that the rest is in God’s capable hands. Paul wrote, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
