We cannot expect to avoid risk in life. Throughout history those who put their lives on the line for a cause they value have been honored. An explorer once stated: “You cannot discover new oceans unless you are willing to lose sight of land.” In order to show God the trust we have for Him, we must be willing to put His law first, even above our own lives.

The story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego in Daniel 3 shows that God will reward us for being confident through Him. Adventure and courage should be ingredients of our character. Fear nothing, for we know the power of God is on our side.
