The Power of Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm is the will to do something with energy and gusto. It's a key ingredient needed to make success possible.
Sadly, enthusiasm can be lost. Consider this saying (variously attributed to Samuel Ullman, Douglas MacArthur and a Danish proverb): "Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul."
The Scriptures tell us to do what we are doing with all our might (Ecclesiastes 9:10). We can only do that if we really want to--and that requires enthusiasm. It is a mind-set that lets us tackle our problems and solve them. We strengthen this trait when we choose good goals and achieve them. Doing that fires us up with confidence and allows us to look forward to achieving more goals.
