It seems sometimes there are two types of plants in the world: Those we want to grow in our gardens, but that take abundant nurturing just to keep alive; and those that we don't want, but grow in spite of our deadly designs for them.

What's the lesson in this for us? Perhaps there are people in life's garden whose virtues we have not yet discovered. Maybe later we can grow to appreciate them and make space for them in our garden. But, if nothing else, maybe we can start by admiring their tenacity!
