Announcement Bulletin for September 28, 2024

North Canton Announcements:
- Service Times:
- September 28th – 2:00 PM
- October 3rd – Feast of Trumpets – 10:30 AM & 2:00 PM (Uniontown)
- October 5th – 2:00 PM
Current Prayer Requests:
- Estachia Rodgers: Estachia still isn’t feeling back to herself. Part of the reason is the adjustment of new medications, but also, she’s struggling to find food that helps her to feel good. The food issue has been quite a challenge for both herself and Ursula, so your prayers (and even recommendations) would be appreciated.
- Victoria Banit: Victoria was able to come home on Wednesday, which is great! She’s receiving some rehab in her home. Unfortunately, she’s still having trouble walking, as well as getting in and out of a vehicle, and stairs (which is a challenge as they have a multi-level home). She’s grateful for your continued prayers.
- Freeman Kuhns: So far, Freeman has been doing well with the larger dose of chemotherapy. Your continued prayers for Freeman and Debbie are appreciated!
Recent Prayer Requests:
- Linda Ritter: Linda Ritter wanted to let you all know that she was able to come home on Sabbath. She is still a little bit out of breath, but overall feeling better. There was an area of concern as they identified a lump in her breast. They are just beginning to do testing, so please pray that the tests reveal no concerns for Linda.
Local Announcements:
- Sabbath School will be held on September 28th.
- There will not be a Potluck Meal on the Sabbath of the 28th due to the meal planned for the Feast of Trumpets the following week.
- Feast of Trumpets, Thursday, October 3rd: Feast of Trumpets Church Services for North Canton, Cleveland and Youngstown will be held at the Uniontown Community Park:
3696 Apollo Street NW, Uniontown, OH 44685
Services will be held at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM, with a luncheon meal between services. Meat and cheese trays, as well as buns and condiments will be provided. Brethren are asked to bring sides, drinks and desserts.
We have rented the pavilion for those who would enjoy eating lunch outside. If you have any questions, please feel free to call BJ Thomas (330.416.4654) or Debbie Kuhns (330.705.2594).
- Change of Time for Services: Ministerial and Member Services has tasked us with creating a circuit of the North Canton and Cleveland churches. To accommodate a traveling schedule for the minister, both churches will be changing service times (not locations) starting on November 2nd, the second Sabbath after the Feast of Tabernacles this year. Starting November 2nd, North Canton will begin meeting at 10:30 AM for Sabbath Services, and Cleveland will begin meeting at 2:00 PM.
- Feast Baskets for Brethren keeping the Feast of Tabernacles at home are being prepared in advance. If you would like to contribute monetarily, please speak to Debbie Kuhns or Etta Murray. However, if you’d like to provide your own personal gift for them, you are certainly able to.
- Meal-train for the Evans Family: Adam, Jordan and Killian are not only moving, but also welcoming baby Makenna this month! We’d like to help them by preparing some meals for them in advance. We’ve organized this through an easy-to-use web interface called Mealtrain. You can go the site with this link: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/kd2v4r
Also, through the website you are able to donate/give gift cards if that is a more convenient way for you to serve.
If you’d like to provide food but are unable to use a website to do so, please contact Stephen Bouchette (stephen_bouchette@ucg.org or 618.975.7249) to help facilitate.
- Bible Study Survey: in preparation for a newly scheduled Bible Study, a survey has been made to gather the suggestions and preferences of all who might care to participate. This survey is available online (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZTKJKGS), but there are several copies printed up today in case you are unable to use the online version.
- North Canton Directory Update: Our North Canton Directory has been updated! It is available as a PDF. If you would prefer having a paper copy, please email stephen_bouchette@ucg.org.
- Festival Assistance: If you have been faithfully saving your festival tithe, but anticipate that you will not enough funds to attend the Feast this year, we will be happy to help where we can. If you think you will need additional funds, please contact your Festival Advisor or your pastor to get a Festival Assistance Member Information Form. Fill out the form and return it as soon as possible. (All information on the form will be treated as confidential.) The home office has asked us to have all assistance applications turned in by the end of June, so please pick up the form and return it to us as quickly as possible. Again, festival financial assistance is available for those who do not have adequate funds to attend the Feast even though they have faithfully saved their festival tithe, or their income is too limited for them to save adequate funds to attend.
- For those attending Cincinnati for the Feast of Tabernacles this year: We are so excited to spend the Feast with you! To help with the planning, we ask that you sign up for the following activities by October 1st, 2024. Due to a change in the hotel’s policy, we must submit the number of attendees for the Senior Luncheon as well as payment for all other meals/activities offered by October 11th, 2024. Please note, there are costs associated with some of these activities, but we never want the cost to be a reason that you do not attend. To that end, we have an option for you to sign up and we will have funds available through our Families Helping Families (FHF) fund to cover the cost. Also, seniors, please use the same link to sign up for the (FREE) luncheon. LINK:
