2016 Feast of Tabernacles Report
Accra and Agora, Ghana, Africa
One site was situated on the sprawling grounds of the Valley View University campus on the outskirts of the capital city of Accra. Most of the brethren stayed together on-site, which allowed for much interaction and fellowship. Morning services were often followed by a communal meal, with the opportunity to gather together in the evenings at the meeting hall for games and additional fellowship. With a high attendance of 39, this was a close-knit group that assembled very much as a family.
The second site was situated on property owned by the Church, located three hours west in the village community of Agona. Most of the 240 members in attendance stayed in houses and rooms in the village and walked to services each day. About a third of those in attendance spoke English. Any services that were presented in English were also translated into the local dialect of Fante. Much joy surrounded this group as they came together to worship God. The many children in the mix added to the buzz of activity and excitement in the air. The daily hymns of praise were enthusiastic, with the voices of song drifting out to the nearby village.
Assistant senior pastor Paul Moody, along with Darrell Keisel, visited from the United States, sharing time between the two Feast sites. Messages focused on the return of Jesus Christ and the millennial age to come, as well as our calling today to live as citizens of the Kingdom of God. Accra pastor David Meselebe and Agona pastor Benjamin Agyapong, along with other local leaders, shared messages of inspiration as well, giving meat in due season on which we could set our focus.
