2016 Feast of Tabernacles Report
Sabaudia, Italy
The Italian brethren were so friendly and accommodating. Even though there was a language barrier, it did not stop the communication between all the brethren. There were families from European countries, the Philippines, United States, and Canada to name a few. The weather was beautiful with some liquid sunshine and gorgeous scenery from our Oasis Hotel.
We had two teen and young adult Bible studies, a wonderful children’s Sabbath school, a high octane family dance where many people danced for almost three hours straight, an awesome talent show in which everyone had a blast and a four-hour serious wine tasting tour in which everyone came back safe and very happy. There was plenty of physical food and lots and lots of coffee.
Sabaudia is a coastal Italian town that is a product of fascist-era building programs. Six thousand men were commissioned to repurpose marshlands into inhabitable cities, and much of the architecture from that era remains. Today, the town is known for its beaches and proximity to the lush landscapes of Circeo National Park.
The spiritual food was exceptional as we all learned why God has given us these days, what we are to do for our fellow man, and that one day we will be accountable for our actions. One of the highlights this year was an ordination to deaconess of one of the Italian ladies who has been serving for 15 years.
This is a wonderful Feast site. Come and join us for a rich experience. See where the apostles walked and did the work of God. See the awesome history of some of our past and beginnings. See the ancient spectacles of the Roman era at next year’s Italian Feast of Tabernacles 2017.
