2018 Feast of Tabernacles
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Brethren traveled from the U.S.A., Canada, England and St. Lucia to join 80 of their Jamaican brothers and sisters.
The opening service accentuated the theme of Isaiah 45:23—how great God is and why we are here—and included the choir singing “The Lion and the Lamb,” which emphasized “every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb.” This was very moving, and set the tone for the rest of the uplifting messages and inspiring special music during the Feast.
Highlights for fellowship comprised of a ladies’ mingle with gift exchange, men’s summit, outdoor teen Bible study and morning teen hospitality, two day passes (for Jamaican brethren to enjoy meals and activities on the hotel property), children’s craft activities and choir, a widow’s tea, and an opportunity for some to enjoy refreshments at the nearby villa where the Ocho Rios brethren stayed.
Evening activities included a Bible study (“A World of Plenty—Feeding the Large Population in the World Tomorrow”), a seminar (“How to Capture God’s Miraculous Vision”), Jamaican Night (history, culture and entertainment hosted by the local brethren), two hymn-sings and two family dances.
Many families took advantage of this all-inclusive festival location to reunite with each other and to celebrate. It was a joy to see generations spending time together at meals, on the beach, in the pool and at the various activities. The hotel staff repeatedly commented on how wonderful it was to serve our group and work with our brethren.
