2018 Feast of Tabernacles
Rockingham, Australia
There were 79 brethren gathered together from around Australia and from the U.S.A. to keep God’s Feast together in a spirit of thankfulness, harmony and joy. It was exciting to once again be able to come out from the world and focus on God’s Kingdom soon to come to all mankind!
We were blessed with inspiring and fulfilling spiritual food through this Feast. The opening night focused our minds on God’s promise to bring holiness to this earth, and our need to grow in the capacity to discern today between the holy and the profane, so we will be equipped to share that wonderful truth with others in the age to come. Messages on following days were a journey through scriptures illustrating the very practical way God will replace practices and beliefs that produce fear in people’s lives today, with real peace, hope and truth. “Rivers of living water” emerged as a theme through many messages.
Rockingham is a site well-known for hospitality and fellowship, and this year was no exception. Many commented on the warmth of the brethren and the “family feel” at the Feast. God also blessed us with warm sunny days, which enabled us to enjoy activities such as a “tree-top adventure” afternoon, a scenic canal cruise, and a wildlife park tour where we were able to be up close and personal with many uniquely West Australian animals and birds. Some members also opened up their home for a wonderful dinner and evening for all who were able to attend. Many other opportunities for fellowship and growing together were also enjoyed.
This Feast was a time we were able to come together as part of God’s spiritual family and rejoice as we continue to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness! We’re very thankful for God’s spiritual and physical blessings on the Feast, thankful to be able to come together and share in these things, and thankful to once again have our focus lifted—from the temporary nature of this challenging physical life, to God’s wonderful plan and future for all mankind!
