2018 Feast of Tabernacles
Sakhangyi, Myanmar
This is the second year they met for the Feast. Last year Aaron and Michelle Dean were able to be there with the brethren but this year no elders were available. Deacon Davidson Le bey—who’s family immigrated as Karen refugees to Sheffield, United Kingdom, and who translated for Mr. Dean last year—was given transcripts of the sermons created for the US shut-ins and was able to translate them and help give spiritual food to this isolated group.
This ingenious group built their own meeting hall and ran power off of car batteries for music and sound. The site is an 8 to 9-hour ride to the other side of the delta, then an hour-long boat ride up the river. Thank you to a few people who learned of the need and donated a little over $1,000 in private donations. Without these donations, the Feast wouldn't have happened.
