2018 Feast of Tabernacles
St. John’s, Newfoundland
St. John’s is our provincial capital and it claims to be the oldest city in North America. Good weather and warm temperatures greeted us each day.
We were able to enjoy spiritually filled sermons and sermonettes via the webcast from Panama City Beach, Florida. We especially enjoyed the Feast greetings before each service hosted by Jonathan Magee and his family. Also, we enjoyed being together as a family; enjoying meals in local restaurants, and taking in a musical concert by a local entertainer.
A highlight was a social afternoon when we were able to cook up a traditional Newfoundland Jiggs Dinner (fresh and salt meat with boiled vegetables). The fresh vegetables were supplied by our deacon and his wife from their home garden. We had a wonderful afternoon of food and fellowship.
On the Eighth Day we were able to have a fine meal together at the hotel restaurant on-site.
For those of us who, for various reasons were not able to make the long journey to the nearest Feast site, being able to receive the cybercast was truly a blessing.
Many thanks to all who made this possible for us.
