2021 Feast of Tabernacles
Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia
Cooler than normal weather prevailed throughout the Feast, but did not stop the swimming and surfing. The gorgeous beaches themselves provided great recreation, and some took early morning fishing trips. Migrating whales also put on a display and at times could be seen from shore. The messages again this year were outstanding from all the local speakers. There were no transfers into this site, as borders were closed and residents from other nearby states were in lockdown. COVID-19 restrictions were in place for most of the Feast, and the result was a COVID-19-free feast. In Australia, the quarantine restrictions are set by the state Health Departments and are determined by the number of infections existing in an area. Thankfully, at Feast time there were no cases on the Sunshine Coast. All Feast recreational activities were organized privately but still had to comply with state Health Department rules. One of our members generously donated a large number of pizzas for a final outdoor get-together after the final service. We ate together, said our farewells and capped off a most inspiring Feast.
