Troyer’s Hollow Campout
The weekend was slightly altered due to a severe deluge of rainfall on Friday, so only one person camped the first night. We were blessed to still be able to hold Sabbath services in the beautiful and peaceful hollow with a creek running through it, along with having a potluck, seminars and popcorn by the fire in the afternoon. Despite occasional downpours, the theme of “How True Christians Relate to Authority—in the World and in the Church” was a great learning opportunity, along with fellowship. We were able to move across the creek Sabbath evening for more people to camp and fellowship around the fire.
The next morning, we enjoyed the provided breakfast and additional messages related to the theme. The messages were well presented and covered many aspects of both being under and in authority now and in the future. Despite the rain and smaller numbers, it was a blessing to be part of the weekend, and we hope to see some of you next year—the schedule is set for June 21-23, 2019.
