In December we passed another major milestone in the work of the United Church of God—we printed our 4 millionth booklet!

It took us over four years to print our first million. This year alone we've printed 740,000—our largest number yet, surpassing our previous high of 690,000 last year.

The largest single number of booklets printed was our new Marriage and Family booklet, with 140,000 copies printed. Yet demands for our other booklets remain strong. We reprint most of our booklets once a year as supplies run low. However, demand was so great for four booklets— Why Does God Allow Suffering? Are We Living in the Time of the End? The Book of Revelation Unveiled and Creation or Evolution —that we ran out far earlier than anticipated, and we ended up printing them twice this year. We printed 60,000 to 70,000 of each of those four titles this year.

In round numbers, we currently distribute an average of about 25,000 of each of our 32 booklets every year.

We appreciate the generosity of our members that makes it possible for us to reach so many people with these truths.

Other Milestones

In his chairman's letter before the December Council of Elders meeting, Bob Dick highlighted a couple of other key statistics. "We are currently on track to pass a milestone by the end of the fiscal year, reaching the $20-million mark for income," wrote Mr. Dick.

"Speaking for myself, the most inspiring fruit so far is the ever-growing base of donors and coworkers who now number just under 10,000 and who provide nearly 10 percent of the gross income of UCG IA . I can't help but be inspired in a forward-looking sense by the scriptural adage in Matthew 6:21, ‘For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.' As some of these men and women continue growing spiritually, they will find their way into the Church of God." UN
