Updates from Ministerial and Member Services
At the beginning of August, Jeff Lockhart was hired as a ministerial trainee working with pastor Chuck Smith in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and in the Caribbean. Jeff and his wife, Alisa, attended our 10-day Pastoral Development Program at the home office in Cincinnati during the month of November.
There were six elders ordained into the ministry on the Feast of Trumpets, Sept. 30, 2019. Neil Crane and his wife, Rita, serve in the East Texas congregation. Gregory Dullum and his wife, Marie, serve in the Cape Girardeau, Missouri, congregation. Brent Fogelson and his wife, Kristina, serve in the Phoenix Northwest, Arizona, congregation. Alan Gunn serves in the Columbus, Ohio, congregation. Dave Wells and his wife, Carrie, serve in the Troy, Illinois, congregation. Andy Duran and his wife, Amber, have been transferred from Cincinnati to the Chicago area. Mr. Duran will assist Pastor Randy D’Alessandro with the Chicago (Illinois) and Beloit (Wisconsin) congregations.
On Oct. 5, Richard Moulton was ordained into the ministry. He and his wife, Michelle, serve in the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, congregation. On Oct. 14, Clive Demont was ordained into the ministry. He serves in the East London/Port Elizabeth, South Africa, congregation. On Oct. 21, Frank Reckerman was ordained into the ministry. He and his wife, Tina, serve in the Colombo, Sri Lanka, congregation. The Reckermans also attended this year’s Pastoral Development Program.
On Oct. 26, Cephas Chapamba and Haiton Thungula, both of Malawi, were ordained into the ministry. Cephas and Patricia Chapamba serve the Nkhwazi congregation; Haiton Thungula serves the Lilongwe congregation.
Aaron and Whitney Creech have been transferred to the Sacramento area where Aaron will pastor the congregations in Sacramento (California) and Reno (Nevada). We would like to thank Wayne Dunlap and Mark Fike who served as interim pastors until Mr. Creech’s arrival.
Bart and Joan Bornhorst have been transferred to eastern Pennsylvania, where Bart will pastor the Lewistown, York and Bethlehem congregations, replacing Aaron Creech.
Joshua and Lizzie Creech have been transferred to central Indiana where Joshua will pastor the congregations in Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne, replacing Bart Bornhorst. Joshua had been serving as an assistant pastor for Gary Petty in Tennessee.
