The congregation of Chipata, Zambia is literally picking up the pieces after vandals broke into their church hall. The thieves damaged property and stole a number of items, including window coverings (that the local ladies had lovingly sewn), the sound equipment, chairs, and the solar panels for the borehole pump. The violation is heartbreaking for this group of God's people, but the damage to the well, and the loss of the solar panels is depriving 200+ residents access to fresh water and inhibiting their ability to irrigate their farms in a crucial time period. We have had time to assess the damage, and to determine the best way forward, which also includes funds to build a wall to protect the church hall and the new solar panels and well.
