2022 Feast of Tabernacles
Nkhwazi, Malawi
Since its inception as a Feast site in 2018, the Nkhwazi Feast site has been making improvements to better host God’s festivals. This year, it hosted 79 Feastgoers from the Lilongwe and Nkhwazi congregations.
The activities began at 5:30 a.m. with morning aerobics at the site playground, where everyone was welcome to participate. Our daily morning service took place at the multipurpose hall at 10:30 a.m. We received joyous, uplifting and encouraging messages on our spiritual journey as we enjoyed the foretaste of the world tomorrow. In addition to services, we held Sabbath school and children recited Bible verses. Special music was always on the program, including women and youth who enjoyed praising God with music. One afternoon, a Bible study took center stage as we discussed the origin of sin and how God is going to deal with sin by removing the one who is the mastermind of sin in humans.
The senior citizens, youth and Sabbath school children were each entertained to a treat with braii and drinks on different days within the Feast. We had also group meals that gave us time enough to fellowship together as families. One night we were amazed with a variety show which featured the brethren’s abilities. We also had a Feast dance which brought us together while enjoying the Feast mood.
We held football and netball games which involved our UCG teams and villagers around us. It was a good opportunity to interact with people of different faiths in our community, so people would learn about who we are.
