Cincinnati Members Host Council of Elders and Home Office Employees
Local Cincinnati members Floyd and Doris Phelps opened their home to all home office employees, Council of Elders members and their families for this year’s annual grill-out on Tuesday, August 23. Most attendees brought their own side dish and drinks to share and enjoy with the delicious food provided. The Phelps’ backyard served as the setting for the meal and fellowship, which were amplified by beautiful, low-humidity weather (a welcome change from years past). Video production staff member Rudy Rangel brought a Frisbee, which several people tossed around afterwards. Two dachshund puppies could be found dodging ankles, and children were chasing them, holding them, playing games with each other and enjoying the evening. The picnic was a welcome time for everybody to get to know each other, strengthen old bonds and form new ones.
