Parisian Seniors Brunch in Dallas Congregation
A Parisian themed brunch was enjoyed by 65 seniors Sabbath morning, July 13. Our French chefs, Sam and Pedro, made omelettes to order; there were also belgian waffles, pancakes and scrambled eggs offered. The seniors enjoyed a fruit bar, bagels, croissants and yogurt for dessert. Beverages included coffee, hot tea and milk.
The Paris theme continued with a seven-foot Eiffel Tower backdrop. It was strung with decorative lights and used for photo opportunities. To top off the memorable occasion, the seniors were entertained by Cassie and James Richards, who sang “Unforgettable.” Amber Benedict sang “Grandpa,” and Tanya Wright sang “The Way We Were.” Emily Snyder also serenaded us with several soothing violin pieces, and Larry Bowen emceed in a warm and inviting manner. Reba Carmack coordinated the entire event and was given a basket of Parisian memorabilia.
What a festive way to enjoy a delectable Sabbath brunch!
