2016 Feast of Tabernacles Report
Schluchsee, Germany
Services were held in the village hall that has a spectacular view of the lake and the Black Forest. Sermons were inspiring and to the point. The services were also translated in English or German as needed.
Some of the notable activities during the Feast were the welcome evening, the women’s brunch, the women’s discussion, a men’s discussion, the children’s day, children’s Bible lessons and a young adult Bible study. The family dance evening was also a prominent event where a dinner was served, and both young and old enjoyed live music and danced the night away.
The restaurant in the hall agreed to revamp their menu during our time there and served only non-pork dishes to meet our needs. The food was delicious and gave everyone many opportunities to enjoy each other’s company during lunch and dinner.
This year’s excursion was for brethren to travel to another country for a day. The tour was set Ribeauville, France. Everyone enjoyed walking through this small quaint village surrounded by vineyards.
Many agreed that the best part of the Feast was meeting new people and being reunited with old friends. Everyone enjoyed the conversations and spending time with each other. Overall this Feast was wonderful and helped us all focus on the coming Kingdom of God.
