Jesus revealed His Father as an important role in Their plan and the covenant. Jesus reveals this covenant in His parable at the wedding banquet. The covenant is like the Father arranging a wedding for His Son (Matthew 22:2) with His bride - the church. So our Heavenly Father is very much involved in the covenant - with His Son. Paul points this out with a marriage covenant between a man and wife to that of Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:25-27, 32). The Passover is an example of preparation, to be holy and without blemish, for our commitment with our Lord and Savior. It is a reminder to be ready, like a bride, to our Lord because the Father is making the arrangements now for Jesus (the Groom) to be married to the church (the Bride) (see: Ephesians 1:3-6).
