God is eternal and spirit while our bodies are temporary and flesh. Everything that is physical will eventually pass a way, but what is spiritual will remain forever. Of ourselves, we can do little, but with God’s Spirit we can accomplish great things – whether in our own lives or as it affects others in a positive way. This sermon examines important events in the lives of Gideon and Peter. They were very limited in their accomplishments until God used His Spirit in their lives. The Holy Spirit in us can also transform us and strengthen us so that we can be useful tools in God’s hands, and accomplish a great deal in our lives.
