We can learn directly from a study of a person's life as described in Scripture. But not only do we learn from the stories and history of these individuals, we also learn when Scripture makes reference to them in contexts that are much later in time. David is such a case. He is one of the most dynamic personalities in the Bible. But we will not concentrate on the passages about his life in 1 & 2 Sam., 1 Kings, & 1 2 Chron., but on other verses in both Old & New Testament that reference David. This allows a broader Biblical understanding of how David is important in God's plan & how his life impacts us today into the future.
