In Part 1 we began to explore what ancient Israel's priest’s duties were in the Old Testament. We explored the sacrificial duties of the priests and learned they had many other duties including duties similar to public health officials and building inspectors of our day. The priests’ duties included teaching, being educators as well as judging.
In this message, we will examine who God chose for Ancient Israel’s priesthood, and why. We will look into a legal case presented by Israelites that rebelled against Moses, and God’s choice of Aaron and his descendants to lead the Levitical priesthood. The outcome teaches us all a vital lesson.
