Tory was born and raised in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, east of the Sacramento. He lived there his entire life before moving to Cincinnati to work for UCG in 2012.

He’s the oldest of three children to his parents, Dirk and Kathy Trone, who serve as a deacon and deaconess in the Sacramento congregation.
