A powerful verse in Ephesians shows what God can do through you.

Transcript

[Steve Myers] God has a plan for your life, and He has uniquely prepared you for something great, something very special, things that we can do, individuals that we can become.

And there's such a powerful scripture that's a reminder of this. It's over in Ephesians 3:20. Have you had this one come to you attention lately? It's such a powerful one. It says, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Boy, when I read that passage, does God have a plan? Does God have a purpose? Has God prepared something for us? I don't know about you but when I read this, boy I can think and ask and imagine a lot of things, amazing things. But here it says God can do even more than that. In fact, not just a little bit more, but Ephesians says exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

You see, do we limit our thinking? Do we limit our capabilities? Do we think, "Well, I'm just" whatever, you feel in the blank. And that we limit what God would do in us and through us? It also says that is according to the power that works in us, according to the power of God's holy spirit. God has given us His spirit and so by that spirit, there's this connection that Paul makes. He makes this connection to the extent that you allow God to work in you. That will be the extent that He does amazing things through us. And so God has a promise here.

What power is working in our life? To what extent do we allow that power to work in us? When we do that, He'll do exceedingly abundant things in our lives.

So, let's commit to do just that and have that sense that God has prepared us to fulfill an amazing calling.

That's BT Daily. We'll see you next time.
