Merimbula, New South Wales, Australia

This year one of the Feast sites in Australia will be held in the small township of Merimbula, New South Wales. Services will be held at the Merimbula RSL Club each day. Overseas visitors are welcome to enjoy a very beautiful part of Australia. The site is noted for its friendly hospitality where members hold open house meals for brethren to meet and fellowship.

Merimbula has a relaxed holiday atmosphere. There is a delightful boardwalk with cafes, restaurants and a variety of shops on the bay inlet. Beaches and golf courses are also a popular part of the area along with boating tours, fishing trips, walking tracks and activities for the youth. The weather around Feast time is typically mild and sunny with temperatures in the 70s Fahrenheit.

Festival activities will cater to everyone including families, teens, seniors and children. After the first Holy Day service there will be a “get acquainted” opportunity over finger-foods and refreshments. The RSL has a restaurant adjacent to the hall and the meals are low-cost. Many appreciate the ease of getting together for lunch after morning services. There will also be a Church luncheon on the Eighth Day.

Traveling to Merimbula is approximately a six-hour car drive from Sydney airport and seven hours from Melbourne airport. Flights from Sydney or Melbourne to Merimbula can be organized through www.rex.com.au.
