Late in June 2019 we had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel our first session of teaching English and computer skills in Haiti. We held off on making a decision on session two in hopes that the political situation would improve before July 14, when the volunteers were to arrive. And while some of the violence in the rural areas has subsided, the situation in Port-au-Prince is still dangerous, particularly for foreigners. We have again, with the safety of our volunteers in mind, made the difficult decision to cancel session two as well. We request continued prayers for our Haitian brethren as they face these difficult circumstances.

We will keep the funds raised on hold in the hopes that we will be able to move forward with this worthwhile endeavor next year; we sincerely appreciate everyone’s support of this wonderful project.
