In the first of a two-part sermon series, we dive into the basics of the doctrine of Baptism. We looked at why baptism requires full immersion/submersion in water. We also looked at the history of baptism and it’s significant meaning for us as Christians. We finished the first sermon by looking at the standard biblical process of baptism.
Please Note: During this sermon, I misspoke at one point and said “Abraham” when I meant “Moses”. It was Moses in Exodus that God stopped and threatened to kill if he didn’t circumcise his sons. Moses was returning to Egypt to be the leader of God’s people and it was important for him to set the right example of obedience and for his children to be under the covenant.
