James 4:4-5  There is a right way and a wrong way to be friends to people in the world.  We are to love and have compassion for people, but we are not to love the ways of the world. The ways of the world lead to suffering and eventually to death.  So if you embrace the ways of the world, God says that you make yourself an enemy of God.
