Bible study: The genealogy from Judah that would lead to David and eventually Jesus is explored in Chapter 38.  Chapter 39 shows Joseph’s experience in captivity, with the overall theme being God is with Joseph during this time.  Chapter 40 brings the focus of Joseph’s interpretation of the dreams of the Pharaoh’s butler and baker.
