Stubbornness is a trait that is found throughout the Bible as both a national and individual characteristic. It can be associated with a hardened heart that is not willing to listen to God or to change one’s ways. Examples in the Bible show that it can lead to the ruin of nations and families, and it can also result in God withholding blessings that He would otherwise want us to have. We need to watch for signs of stubbornness in our own lives and to turn to God for help in overcoming it.
