God is egalitarian in regards to the opportunity for salvation and the administration of justice. However, God chooses to give different gifts based on different abilities for the benefit of all. Egalitarianism is a political football used to justify immoral and indecent behavior. Words taken from the preamble to the U.S. Declaration of Independence, “all men are created equal” are the rally cry for every abominable behavior on earth in man’s desire for “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” But, what about the rights unborn? Hypocrisy is rampant. We are witnessing a shift in values toward secularism and an attempt to destroy family. The principle reasons are spiritual in that the people “like it so”. Who will you choose to listen to — the voice of the Maker or the voice of the wicked?

Before his retirement in 2021, Dr. Donald Ward pastored churches in Texas and Louisiana, and taught at Ambassador Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has also served as chairman of the Council of Elders of the United Church of God. He holds a BS degree; a BA in theology; a MS degree; a doctor’s degree in education from East Texas State University; and has completed 18 hours of graduate theology from SMU.
