Christ-centered service should be the goal for every Christian as we emulate the example of Jesus Christ. An example of the depth of Christ's care for those around Him can be found in the example of Him healing a man with leprosy. Leprosy was a dreaded disease that isolated a person away from those that loved them, those who cared for them, and those they worshipped with. In the healing of the leper, Christ showed sensitivity, a willingness, and the ability to help one whose life was hopeless. As we consider Christ-centered service, this example should cause us to consider how we can reflect more of these attributes in our own lives as we serve in our congregations and communities.
