Some struggle with their worthiness to take the Passover, but no one is truly deserving of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ; it’s God’s gift of grace. The lesson of 1 Corinthians 11 is that we all need the Passover, and we must partake of it in a worthy manner. In order to do this, we need to first examine ourselves against the standard of Jesus Christ, deeply appreciating God's mercy and love towards us and recognizing the significance of the life that was laid down for us. Approaching the Passover in an attitude of humility, repentance, and reverence puts us in the mindset to keep that service in a worthy manner.

Paul serves as Pastor for the United Church of God congregations in Spokane, Kennewick and Kettle Falls, Washington, and Lewiston, Idaho.    

Paul grew up in the Church of God from a young age. He attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas from 1991-93. He and his wife, Darla, were married in 1994 and have two children, all residing in Spokane.
