Sermon: Marriage is a model of Christ and the Church. Eph 5:31-32. By understanding and internalizing that truth, marriage will be lifted up to the status of bringing glory to God. That model also shows us the role of having grace towards your spouse. 1) Marriage is the creation of God. It displays God's glory. 2) Marriage is based on grace and forgiveness. God extends it to each of us. We must extend it to our spouse. Colossians 2:13. 3) Spouses must learn to forgive and to forebear the sins and faults of each other.
