Two contrasting prophecies pronounced in the Bible — one on a spirit being (Satan) and a later one on a human being (the Apostle Peter) stand out. Satan seeks to thwart the plan of God and destroy humanity. Satan knows our weaknesses and looks for ways to exploit all as he did with Peter. Through many trials and suffering, Peter overcame the Adversary to become the Apostle of Hope and fulfill Christ’s commission to “Feed my sheep.” Likewise, God’s people triumphed through the ages and some gave their lives so that we could be here today.
