On Pentecost 31 AD, 3000 were baptized and added to the church. How much did they really know? There was no New Testament, scriptures were read and taught in the synagogues, but only a small percentage of people could read and write. Yet Paul tells them and us to continue in the the things learned and to know where you learned them. What are the important elements of salvation? What is the most important goal in your life? Our lives are lived in vain if we do not daily seek glory, honor and immortality in the Kingdom of God!

Before his retirement in 2021, Dr. Donald Ward pastored churches in Texas and Louisiana, and taught at Ambassador Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has also served as chairman of the Council of Elders of the United Church of God. He holds a BS degree; a BA in theology; a MS degree; a doctor’s degree in education from East Texas State University; and has completed 18 hours of graduate theology from SMU.
